WoodStock co-creation: zero-waste solutions through design: development through co-creation
Join us for a WoodStock co-creation session at the 'Festiwal Naturalnego Budowania 2026 | Regeneration. Reclaim Space' in Poland, to explore new approaches to designing with underutilised wood, led by an architect and PhD researcher in the WoodStock project Kika Zdziarska. Book one of the 30 available places.
During the facilitated co-creation session, participants will work in groups on a conceptual project, exploring innovative applications for underutilised wood, such as less commonly used timber species, logs with irregular geometries or wood salvaged from demolition sites, wildfires or storms. It’s an opportunity to take a creative look at timber architecture and explore how ecological and social values can be meaningfully integrated into design processes.
You’ll get a chance to experience how a project develops, starting with the selection of a local biobased material. Together, we’ll explore how the values of the New European Bauhaus can be translated into concrete design decisions.
As part of this facilitated co-design process, we’ll use a format developed by the WoodStock project at our Living Lab Green Village at Delft University of Technology.
No design experience is necessary! The more diverse the group, the richer the outcome. We invite people from different sectors and with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences across the wood value chain and the built environment - including students, architects, researchers, artists, craftspeople, citizens and others interested in the topic.
Depending on the participants, the groups can work in Polish or English. All you need is an interest in the topic and a willingness to share your perspective.
